Below are questions we frequently receive about false eyelashes, including the difference between mink and synthetic silk lashes, care and maintenance of false eyelashes, use and application, return policy, and much more!

What is the difference between synthetic disposable lashes and mink lashes?

The key differences between disposable lashes and mink lashes are the mink lash design, quality of material and how they are made. Because velour mink lashes are made from 100% ethically sourced mink hair, they have a natural shine, are super lightweight and flexible, and can be curled like real human hair to provide a natural, feathery look on the eyes.  Best of all, each pair of mink lashes are hand-made and can be worn up to 25 times with proper care and maintenance. Disposable lashes that you find in drugstores are likely made with plastic fibers which are thicker and heavier, generally making them less comfortable and more irritating to the eye - especially for those not accustomed to using false eyelashes. Plastic disposable lashes also tend to be less soft and more difficult to curl resulting in an unnatural look.  While lower in price, disposable lashes can only be worn a few times before they need to be replaced.

How do you apply mink lashes?

Due to our uniquely designed, cotton-thread band, applying your mink lashes should take you under five minutes! This includes waiting for glue to become tacky and for the mink lash to set on your natural lashes. Remember, practice makes perfect!  For those new to false lashes, we recommend using our too easy mink lash applicator and watching our step by step video here on mink lash application to help apply your mink lashes with ease and accuracy.

How do you clean mink lashes?

Mink lashes  are known for their durability and quality, allowing for an average of 20+ uses with proper care! To ensure you get the most use out of your mink lashes it is essential to take care and clean them after each use.

What is mink?

Slayed mink lashes are made up of 100% natural and ethically sourced mink hair, sterilized to ensure it is hypo-allergenic. Each strand of mink hair is carefully cut and curled to create a pair of velour mink lashes through a 100% individually hand-made process. Unlike synthetic lashes, our 100% natural mink lashes are free from any chemical processing, plastic, and dyes which allow for an extremely soft, comfortable, and natural look.
